Getting closer to the start of the project!

So.... It has been decided that mid next year is going to be all systems are go with Beban... Mind you the past few months there have been some issues with the LPG/Motor that I am still trying to fix. Lately I have been having issues where the engine will actually stall when it is in a stationary position. I have narrowed it down to being a issue with the Crank Angle Sensor. So eventually when I get some time from work it is back to the mechanics I go.





I am DEFINATLY getting the VX Clubsport kit when it goes in to do the bodywork. I just keep going back to it..... what sealed it for me was when I saw a VT like mine with the exact same colour as mine (Bermuda Blue) and it pretty much sealed the deal. I just can't wait to get the new rims, tyres (hopefully bridgstone tyres will be back on) and King Springs installed first.

I have been also looking into putting LED's in the interior light... I have seen kits going for $60 on Ebay that looks pretty tempting. I like the look of these

Well here it goes... The start of something big....

Well finally I have her back!

Beban is now my car again :o) I am a bit worried at the moment for when I got home from work the other day a massive pool of coolant was coming out from the front passenger side wheel.... so I'll have to go and get that checked out asap. The radiator is approximately 6 months old - so something else could be leaking it (Pipes??).

So the plans for her this weekend is to clear her out and to give her a bloody good wash and buff.. I'll post up the photos when she it done.

Gosh I can't wait to get that sand out of her... I HATE SAND!!!!! Once she is clean  - you can be sure my car will not be going ANYWHERE near a beach or shoreline unless it is for a cruise.

Been looking at getting the white dials to put into her as well. I'll keep my eye out on ebay to see if anything will come up. Also decided that I'll eventually get red callipers put on when the wheels get done. As for the wheels themselves.... Yikes! some many to choose from. 

Also been looking into exhaust systems to be put in. I really want to get the dual sports for it - depends on budget in the end.

Also going to go for a colour theme for the car..... BLUE, GOLD and Red..... The Jets colour.

And so here I am on a Sunday night at home looking for ideas on what to do... and so I though hey - look on carsales.com.au and have a look. Came across this beauty  - it pretty much looks exactly what I want (bar the front bumper... I rather the gto one.)

So Mastertint is out....

So last Thursday I went out to Mastertint in southport to check out and see if they have their body kits there, turns out that they no longer do them. BUT the have referred me to Fabtech Autostyling http://www.fabtechautostyling.com/ which seem to have some pretty wicked kits.

VX Clubsport Kit or as stated in the last post the combo of the VX/VY body kit??

Also looking into a moonroof as well, since being on holidays in Europe in 2005 I have aquired a love for them. but will it look as good though?

Ok so now I have decided.....

That this blog is going to be used as my progress and updates about doing up my beloved car - Beban.

I have now had her since 2003. The VT II has been my dream car since was 16/17 yers old and when the oppertunity came for me to upgrade from my old Ford Telstar TX5 (Which was a great car) I could not go past it. We have been though adventures together (including two accidents) and yet I never get sick of sitting in her and just taking off!

Around 2005/06 I had the LPG installed into it and really haven't noticed that much of a performance issue like some people have reported. 

So I have some basic Ideas of what I have in mind with regards to this project

• Bodykit
• Interior dash
• Callipers
• Wheels
• Retinting of windows
• Exhaust system
• Performance tune up

I have toyed with the idea of installing a moon/sunroof.... still undecided about it atm. There is also no time limit or dead line to this project as well.

So that is the basic ideas of what I want to do on the exterion and bits of the interior, as more ideas come along I shall ad them to the blog.

Where to Start From.....

So here I go.......

Tales and Thoughts.... In my 2 years since being up here on the Gold Coast I have experience many things, mostly fantastic things but there have been a few downers.... Like having to work up in Brisbane (which I have to say suxs cause Sydney will ALWAYS shit all over it). Thankfully I now have a fantastic job which I absolutley love and have not complained about it all (unlike my last two, which mind you were just the pits). 

Enough about the past... now for the present and future! 

So this year my beloved and I are getting married... Looking forward to it and today we got our mock up invites in the mail. Now the hard part is choosing one out of the 3 that were sent.

Also I have decided that My Car is going to get it's well deserved do up next year. Beban (my name for the car) has gone through thick and thin with me that it only deserves it! So I have been looking around for Ideas on what I want to get done and I have a few.... but these will be posted in comming blogs.

Also I would like to start cooking more as well... but as we all know I am a shocking cook!

Also I wouldn't mind setting up another aquarium tank later on in the year... prefereably after the wedding. Definaly would love my Siamese Fighting Fish again but I also fell in love with Angel Fish as well!

Also MORE ROAD TRIPS. Hopefull B (My Otherhalf) will have the 4wd back home this year. and once that is back - Look Out Australia here we come!

Also going out to do more shopping would be nice as well..... A girl cannot help but shop :o)
